It is that time of year again! The sasasnquas are about to bloom, and almost ready to paint!
*original heirloom quality oil painting commissions. I paint from direct observation and utilize techniques that were established in 14th century Flanders. This means your painting will last and may be passed on to future generations.
* commissioning a work of art allows intersection between aesthetic and material value. A painting could in many ways be considered jewelry for intellectuals. A work of art will include philosophical and ethical options for meditation, in addition to aesthetic inspiration. Art moves beyond the beautiful. A commission will include what you ask for.
- Each painting commission is discussed and agreed upon by the artist and client. A contract is written, and signed by both parties.
- Once an agreement is established, 50% payment is due with a signed contract. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion of the work.

How does the commission process work?
Commissioning a painting is a different process than going to a gallery or studio and picking out a completed work.
*To commission a painting is to work with an artist and design your own piece of artwork, to be made by hand as a one of a kind original for you and your family.
*During the fall season in New Orleans, I have a number of things growing in my garden. The most prevalent are sasanquas, which bloom between late October and December. Because I work from direct observation, a holiday commission will include what is currently in bloom.
