About Us:

We are a group of art enthusiasts devoted to the preservation, promotion, and practice of the visual arts in New Orleans. Founded in response to a need for archiving techniques associated with the history of visual expression; we invite participation from diverse cultural backgrounds for engagement with and enrichment of the community.

We are grateful for friends who have been willing to share studio space for classes, for artists willing to share what they have learned in  specialized seminars and master classes, and for an environment open to exploring the relationship of contemporary art with history.

Saskia Ozols is the Principle/Founder of the Fine Arts Preservation Society of New Orleans. She is a painter, curator, and arts writer  who has taught historical painting and drawing techniques for over 20 years.
