Learn techniques of the old masters for figure painting. This 6 week seminar provides an in depth study of a single pose from direct observation. Learn how to incorporate complex skills and techniques which draw from  14^th -19^th century oil painting.

This segment will focus on:

-underpainting techniques

-tenebrism

-sfumato

-chiaroscuro

– Unione

– Cangiante

-glazing techniques

– when to incorporate the alla prima work into a long term indirect painting.
