Why is Art Essential?

According to Aristotle, “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” (De Poetica )

This action has significance in a number of ways and presents intersections of history, philosophy, and aesthetics in a manner which transcends boundaries of language, culture, or class. Have you ever enjoyed a symphony? Walked through a museum? If not please take the time to educate yourself on the role of the artist in society. Without art society will surely die of suffocation.

Artists are teachers, producers, and curators. We are educators that strive to point out ideas to others. Art is essential to life. It is growth, communication, and education. (Saskia Ozols)
